CAPE CUP is committed to responsible, sustainable, and legally compliant waste management practices that safeguard human health, protect the environment, and uphold the integrity of our ISO‑certified and FSC‑certified systems. This policy establishes CAPE CUP’s commitment to preventing pollution, minimising waste, improving resource efficiency, and ensuring safe and compliant handling, storage, transportation, and disposal of all waste streams.
2. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
- Minimise waste generation and maximise recycling.
- Prevent pollution of air, water, and soil.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, transport, and disposal of all waste.
- Maintain FSC material integrity through proper segregation and documentation.
- Fulfil legal, ISO, and FSC requirements.
- Maintain full audit trails of waste.
- Promote training, environmental awareness, and continual improvement.
3. SCOPE
This policy applies to all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, and visitors and includes all waste streams generated during CAPE CUP operations. It supports compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and FSC Principles & Criteria and FSC Chain of Custody standards.
4. WASTE TYPES COVERED

- FSC‑derived waste materials (offcuts, trimmings, fibre)
5. FSC REQUIREMENTS
- Segregate FSC and non‑FSC materials.
